MEAD and HONEY DISCOVERY
From Beowulf to Robin Hood to Game of Thrones we've all read about or heard of mead, but what exactly is it? In this 40 minute tasting experience you will learn all about mead, its different styles and its main ingredient, honey. Discover the differences between unique varietals of honey and how they contribute to the flavor of mead. Also learn about how different ingredients from fruit to spice to even coffee or tea impact the style and flavor of mead. Tasting includes approximately 10 samples of honey and 8 samples of mead.

BEES for BEGINNERS
Bees for Beginners is a buzz-worthy educational and delicious honey tasting experience curated for young people looking to learn more about honey and the importance of pollinators. This 45 minute multi-sensory session includes a visit to the observation hive, a guided honey tasting, and an activity book to continue the learning journey at home.
Bees for Beginners must be booked in advance online. Tickets are $10 per participant; parents are welcome to remain in our tasting room and participate, but must book a ticket for themselves. If you would like to book a private session for your school, homeschool group, or just a fun afternoon with friends, please give us a call at 757-378-2225.
FLIGHTS and SELF-GUIDED OPTIONS
If you want to just stop by and have a glass, we have options for you as well! We offer mead by the flight (4 1oz. pours) or by the glass in our Tap Room. You can select meads from any of our bottled options or from our experimental Mead Lab menu.

We also have a self-guided honey tasting available featuring 10 different honeys that you can stop by and try at any time during open hours.
